Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Integration Engineer to lead the design, configuration and deployment of real-time data acquisition and visualization solutions across manufacturing operations.

  1. Architect and implement real-time data acquisition visualization and reporting solutions using industry-standard tools and technologies.
  2. Ensure seamless integration of operational technology (OT) systems with enterprise IT systems, including databases, cloud platforms and other enterprise applications.
  3. Develop and maintain secure, efficient data exchange protocols using REST APIs, MQTT and OPC UA standards.
  4. Manage industrial databases, SQL historians and time-series databases for high availability and performance.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align system capabilities with production and business needs.
  6. Provide technical leadership in digital transformation initiatives, such as Industry 4.0, smart manufacturing and predictive analytics.
  7. Troubleshoot, optimize and support existing SCADA/MES deployments to ensure minimal downtime.
  8. Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across the engineering team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong background in MES functions, production tracking, OEE analysis, traceability and SPC.
  • Proficiency with database technologies, including SQL Server, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands-on experience with OT/IT integration technologies, including REST APIs, MQTT and OPC UA.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial control systems, PLCs, SCADAs, HMIs and plant floor connectivity.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing standards, including ISA95, ISA88, ISA99 and IEC 62443.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with cloud-based IoT platforms, including Azure IoT and AWS IoT.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices in OT environments.
  • Familiarity with containerization, Docker and Kubernetes for SCADA/MES deployments.
  • Experience in working on large-scale digital transformation projects.
  • Certifications in Ignition, Gold Certified Specialist, OPC UA or relevant industrial IT/OT certifications.
