Job Title: Big Data Engineer

About the Role

The company seeks a talented big data engineer to design, develop, and maintain large-scale data processing systems.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to collect, process, and analyze vast amounts of data to gain valuable insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable big data architectures using Hadoop, Spark, and other related technologies.
  • Implement data ingestion pipelines from disparate sources onto the big data platform.
  • Develop and maintain efficient data processing algorithms to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Collaborate with data scientists to integrate data models and machine learning algorithms into the big data ecosystem.
  • Ensure data quality, security, and compliance with organizational standards.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • 6-12 years of experience in big data engineering, preferably with a focus on Hadoop and Spark.
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or Scala.
  • Familiarity with data processing frameworks like PySpark, Hive, and Sqoop.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies and version control systems like Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
