Job Opportunity:

Role Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as a Card Chargeback Analyst. This role involves handling daily chargebacks, investigating disputes, and identifying trends to minimize financial losses for the bank, merchants, and cardholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Chargeback Management: Promptly handle daily chargeback cases to minimize financial exposure and investigate disputes thoroughly to ensure accurate documentation and defend against unwarranted chargebacks.
  • Dispute Resolution: Analyze dispute data to identify high-risk merchants, transaction types, or patterns leading to chargebacks and collaborate with merchants to implement fraud prevention tools and best practices to reduce disputes.
  • Process Improvement: Design, implement, and continuously improve operational processes for chargeback handling and dispute resolution while maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance with internal risk policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, promotions, and operations teams to assess risk impact of new initiatives and campaigns, provide input during product design and rollout, and support business decisions with data-driven insights and risk impact assessments.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to Visa, Mastercard, JCB, CUP, Diners, and other card scheme chargeback regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail to ensure accuracy in chargeback documentation and dispute resolution.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in relevant software and systems, including chargeback management systems and data analysis tools.
