Job Title:

SAP Project Systems (PS) Professional

Main Responsibilities:
  • Implement, configure, and customize SAP PS modules to streamline project management.
  • Design and configure project structures, including WBS, networks, milestones, activities, and settlement rules to ensure efficient operations.
  • Set up project budgeting, forecasting, costing, and resource planning within SAP PS to optimize project outcomes.
Business Process & Solution Design:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements to translate business needs into functional specifications.
  • Propose optimal SAP PS solutions to improve project management workflows and recommend process improvements for automation.
Integration with Other SAP Modules:
  • Work closely with FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, and HR teams to ensure seamless data integration with SAP PS and configure interfaces between SAP PS and external project management tools.
  • Collaborate with ABAP developers for custom reports, enhancements, and user exits to support complex projects.
Testing, Deployment & Support:
  • Prepare test plans and execute unit testing, integration testing, and UAT for SAP PS developments to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Resolve incidents, analyze defects, and ensure smooth project cutovers to minimize downtime.
Documentation & Training:
  • Create and maintain detailed functional and technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Prepare training materials and conduct user training sessions to ensure effective onboarding and adoption.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Technical skills: Mandatory expertise in SAP Project Systems (PS), configuration experience in WBS elements, networks, milestones, resource planning, costing, and settlement.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, cost planning, revenue recognition, and project forecasting to drive informed decision-making.
  • Hands-on experience in project progress tracking and reporting to provide real-time insights.
  • Experience with integration points between SAP PS and other SAP modules to ensure seamless data exchange.
  • Good knowledge of LSMW, BAPI, BADI, IDocs, and user exits for customizations to enhance system flexibility.
  • Additional skills: Excellent business process understanding for project-based organizations, strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, ability to work effectively in cross-functional, global teams, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Finance, or a related field, 5+ years of relevant experience in SAP PS implementations and support, SAP PS Certification is preferred but not mandatory.
