Job Title: Student Support Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented professional to support our students in their academic journey. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth transition for newly enrolled students, providing timely assistance, and maintaining accurate student records.
Main Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for newly enrolled students, helping them navigate campus resources, policies, and academic expectations.
- Maintain and update student records in the Student Information System (SIS), including enrolment status, grades, and personal information.
- Handle semester-wise student fee collection and issue receipts as per institutional guidelines.
- Provide assistance to students via email, phone, and chat in line with defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Communicate important information such as future semester payment deadlines, policy updates, and key events through various channels.
- Educate students on financial aid options, scholarships, grants, and associated application processes and deadlines.
- Help students with non-technical issues during course registration and resolve enrolment-related errors.
- Share updates about alumni events, guest lectures, webinars, and networking opportunities to foster engagement and learning.
- Generate customized reports and compile data for internal use or regulatory compliance.
- 1–3 years of experience in student support, operations, or a customer-facing role.
- Familiarity with online education platforms, CRM systems, data analytics tools, and helpdesk software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a student-first mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office and comfortable working with data.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to manage priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Analytical thinker with a problem-solving attitude and data-driven decision-making approach.
- Understanding of the student lifecycle and ability to support learners at each stage of their academic journey.
- Passionate about education and committed to student success.
- Tech-savvy and updated on tools and trends in educational operations.
