As a Sports Editor, you will be responsible for crafting compelling articles on various sports topics. Your role will involve editing and publishing high-quality content to engage readers.
About the Role- Producing 18-20 articles each day, ensuring well-researched and engaging content.
- Enhancing article impact and relevance through fine-tuning after publication.
- Collaborating with writers, editors, and content managers in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
- Mentoring writers to help them develop their skills and contribute effectively to the team.
This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse sports topics, from mainstream to niche, and contribute to telling captivating stories in the world of sports. You will also enjoy flexibility in working from anywhere, thanks to our remote setup.
What We're Looking For- Bachelor's Degree in English, Media/Journalism, or a related field.
- 6-12 months of experience in sports content editing, proofreading, or a similar role.
- Strong command of the English language and understanding of American culture.
- Energy and creativity to produce engaging articles that resonate with readers.
- Analytical skills to evaluate article performance metrics and improve content quality.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles, including crafting effective headings and subheadings.
