Design Faculty: Transforming User Experiences

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Professor to join our User Experience Design department. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about teaching and mentoring students, as well as contributing to the growth of the department through research and service.
As an Assistant Professor, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in User Experience Design, including principles of UI & UX design, user-centered design methodologies, and usability engineering. You will also be expected to maintain an active research agenda and contribute to the department's service efforts through committee work, outreach, and other activities.
- M.Arch or M.Des with min 2 years of experience in academic or corporate environment
- Ph.D may be desirable
You should have knowledge in one or more areas listed below:
- User-centered design methodologies
- Behavioral Science & Cognitive Ergonomics
- Usability Engineering
- Mental models, task flows, Information Architecture and Navigational Design
- Principles of UI & UX Design
- Conversational Interfaces, Haptics and such other forms of interactions
- Semiotics in HCI
Key skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. A strong commitment to student learning and success is essential.
