Job Opportunity in Manufacturing Design

Our team is seeking a skilled professional to handle manufacturing process development, optimization and implementation for mechanical enclosure subassemblies.

This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams including Product Design Engineering and Industrial Design.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in manufacturability assessment, capable processes and equipment identification, new manufacturing process development and validation, as well as supplier management and quality assurance.

Key qualifications include:

  • Masters Degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or Industrial Engineering from a premier engineering school with 1-2 years of relevant industry experience

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Hands-on manufacturing experience
  • Quality plan development, test method validation, and corrective action experience
  • Knowledge of quality and reliability concepts, supplier management, and general manufacturing operations
  • Project management experience and problem solving skills
  • Experience with mechanical enclosures, casings, plastic parts, injection molding, tooling, jigs, fixtures, or automotive high volume quality manufacturing engineering
  • Understanding of geometric design tolerance, statistics, and material properties
  • Ability to travel 50% domestic and overseas

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing efficient inspection equipment, groundbreaking quality systems and best-in-class products.

Key responsibilities include leading the creation of state-of-the-art inspection measurement equipment, providing technical direction and mentorship, identifying and directing studies for improvement, coordinating Quality Engineering functions, collaborating with internal and external groups, and supervising supplier performance.
