Job Title: Software Development Engineer

Job Description:

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing test cases to validate AMD products. You will work with the latest hardware and software technology to identify, document, and track issues using JIRA.

You will participate in new ASIC and hardware bring up initiatives, report coverage metrics using tools, and review requirements to create associated test cases. Additionally, you will debug existing issues and research alternative methods to accomplish tasks more efficiently.

  • Develop and execute test cases to validate all AMD products
  • Automate tests using Python
  • Identify, document, and track issues using JIRA
  • Participating in new ASIC and hardware bring up s
  • Report coverage metrics using tools
  • Review requirements and create associated test cases to ensure traceability
  • Debugging / fix existing issues and research alternative, more efficient ways to accomplish the same work
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have strong object-oriented programming background with 8+ years of hands-on experience. You should also have understanding of FPGA design flow and tools, including Design Entry, Synthesis, Simulation, and Implementation.

  • Strong object-oriented programming background, Python preferred with 8+yrs of hands-on experience
  • Understanding of FPGA design flow and tools (Design Entry, Synthesis, Simulation and Implementation)
  • AMD/Xilinx Vivado Design Suite experience
  • Hands on experience simulators like XSIM, Questa, Modesim, VCS etc.
  • Ability to debug code with a keen attention to detail
  • Experience with Windows, Linux and/or Android operating system development
  • Experience with software development processes and tools such as debuggers, source code control systems (GitHub) and profilers is a plus
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Hands on experience with scripting preferably TCL
