Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Oracle APEX Consultant to join our team at Winfo Solutions. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing commercial-grade web applications using Oracle APEX.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new applications and enhance existing ones on the APEX platform.
  • Perform system analysis and system development tasks.
  • Analyse functional business requirements to develop solutions and create technical specifications.
  • Partner with business analysts, fellow IT resources, and end users to evaluate business requirements and deliver required features/functions.
  • Collaborate with IT business units to ensure that security and architecture requirements are fulfilled.
  • Adhere to data architecture guidance and IT best practice methodologies such as the SDLC and Agile.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for application improvements, performance tuning, and resolving issues.
  • Collaborate with other IT application owners and leaders to communicate, share, and implement best practices.
  • Reverse engineer existing applications, including data integrations, and troubleshoot any on-demand problems.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience with Oracle APEX, including recent releases such as 20.
  • In-depth knowledge of logical/physical database design and strong experience with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Good to strong understanding of database interconnectivity and data transfer methods such as REST.
  • Intermediate or better experience in modern web technologies such as HTML 5, CSS 3, jQuery, and JavaScript.
  • Awareness of libraries such as the Oracle JavaScript Extension Toolkit (JET) is desirable.
  • Maintain and enforce APEX, SQL, PL/SQL, JavaScript, etc. development and coding standards.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience designing and developing commercial-grade web applications using Oracle APEX.
  • Oracle APEX, Oracle EBS Forms/OAF, Oracle EBS APIs, SQL, and PL/SQL.
  • A desire to write re-usable, readable code using the most up-to-date industry standards.
  • Expertise in developing Apex Applications and UI using features like Interactive Reports, Grids, Dropdown, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Technical knowledge of Oracle EBS, its data model, APIs, OAF pages, security.
  • Oracle SQL/Oracle PL/SQL programming experience.
  • Experience in managing web page layouts with APEX templates and themes.
  • Ability to design for Industry Best Practice Design in Oracle APEX.
  • Ability to independently provide time estimates for APEX-related tasks.
  • Proficient SQL scripting skills, including stored procedures, functions, and DDL.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly in translating perceived needs into technical requirements.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical, critical thinking, troubleshooting, and data analysis skills to solve complex issues.
