Accounting Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accounting Manager to lead our finance department. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Indian accounting practices within a private limited manufacturing setup.

  • Our Accounting Manager will be responsible for the full spectrum of accounting operations, ensuring financial integrity, statutory compliance, and leveraging technology to drive efficiency and insightful reporting.
  • The successful candidate will serve as the company's subject matter expert on all GST-related matters, ensure accurate and timely filing of all GST returns, handle reconciliations, and manage any GST audits or departmental queries.
  • They will take ownership of the finance module in SAP B1, utilizing advanced SQL skills to develop custom financial reports, create complex queries, and work directly with the SAP backend to extract and analyze data.
Key Qualifications & Skills

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, specifically within a private limited manufacturing company in India. They will hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, and possess professional certifications (CA / CMA).

  • Tech Skills:
  • A strong proficiency in SAP Business One is mandatory for this role. Expert-level knowledge of SQL is also required for developing reports and working on the SAP backend.
  • Functional Skills:
  • Deep, practical expertise in Indian GST laws, including all aspects of filings, compliance, and reconciliations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Ind AS, corporate law, and direct/indirect taxation.
