Investment Analyst Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive investment analyst to join our fund accounting and operations team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for net asset value (NAV) calculations, profit and loss reconciliation, and cash reconciliation to ensure accurate reporting and operational efficiency for our hedge fund portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly NAV calculations for hedge fund portfolios.
  • Perform P&L reconciliation between fund administrator reports, internal records, and prime broker statements.
  • Carry out cash reconciliation across custodians, banks, and internal systems.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in positions, pricing, fees, and expenses.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and accruals.
  • Assist in performance reporting and investor statements.
  • Coordinate with fund administrators, prime brokers, and custodians to ensure accurate trade settlement and reporting.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and risk teams to validate portfolio data and performance metrics.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (Master's or professional certification like CFA/CPA is a plus).
  • 2–5 years of experience in fund accounting or hedge fund operations, preferably with exposure to NAV calculation and reconciliation processes.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments (equities, derivatives, fixed income, FX, etc.).
  • Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of fund accounting software (e.g., Advent Geneva, Investran, or similar) is an advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
