Global Financial Crimes Risk Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Global Financial Crimes Risk Manager.
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential new forms of staff or counterparty misconduct and determining whether these could be identified through our current systems, processes, people and data sets.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying new forms of misconduct and prioritising the development of systems, processes, people and data sets needed to identify these.
- Inputting into and tracking the development of new surveillance capabilities.
- Dealing with alerts once they have been passed through a first review.
- Ensuring all alerts are satisfactorily escalated and resolved.
- Liaising with Transformation and Technology to aid Surveillance in delivery.
Requirements include:
- A strong understanding of rules relevant to trading and sales activities for Equities, Options, Money Market, Foreign Exchange and Fixed Income.
- Expert knowledge of financial markets and traded products.
- Demonstrable experience working in a Surveillance role, with consideration also given to those with Compliance Advisory or Front-office experience.
- Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and clearly articulate business and regulatory implications of analysis and findings.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in Visual Basic for Applications and macros an asset.
- Evidence of collaboration with key stakeholder functions and providing credible challenge to the business/desk supervisors in their daily risk management.
- Well-developed communications, analytical, organisational and project management skills.
