Job Title: Oracle Apps DBA

We are seeking a skilled Oracle Apps professional to administer and manage Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.2 environments.

  • Responsibilities include administering installation, configuration, patching, cloning, and upgrades for Oracle EBS R12.2 environments.
  • Database administration tasks such as backup & recovery, performance tuning, and space management will be performed.
  • Patching and updates will be applied while ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Performance issues in both Oracle Applications and Database environments will be monitored and troubleshooted.
  • Collaboration with developers, functional teams, and infrastructure teams is required to support ongoing operations.
  • Managing Concurrent Managers, Workflow, and Forms/Reports Server within Oracle EBS is essential.
  • High availability, security, and scalability of Oracle EBS and database systems must be ensured.
  • Cloning and refresh activities for development and test environments will be handled.
  • Oracle WebLogic Server and OHS (Oracle HTTP Server) implementation and maintenance for R12.2 will be carried out.
  • Automation and scripting for routine DBA tasks will be collaborated on.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 4–7 years of experience as an Oracle Apps professional, with expertise in Oracle EBS 12.2.
  • Strong understanding of Oracle Database (11g/12c/19c) administration.
  • Experience in cloning, patching, and upgrading Oracle EBS environments is required.
  • Knowledge of ADOP (Online Patching) and Oracle EBS R12.2 file system architecture is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience with WebLogic Server and OHS (Oracle HTTP Server) is needed.
  • Familiarity with RMAN backups, Data Guard, and disaster recovery strategies is expected.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for performance tuning and issue resolution are required.
  • Good understanding of Unix/Linux environments and shell scripting is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup are expected.
Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Cloud (OCI, AWS, or Azure) environments would be beneficial.
  • Exposure to automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, etc.) for DBA tasks would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Oracle SOA, Oracle Identity Management (OIM), or Oracle Fusion Middleware would be beneficial.
