Electrical Engineer Job

This is an opportunity to work as an electrical engineer in the field of application engineering of Air insulated medium voltage switchgears panels (VCB panels). The ideal candidate will have experience in working with primary switchgears like GIS.

  • The position involves designing medium voltage electrical switchboards, including circuit drawings, outline drawings of switchboards, single line diagrams, bill of materials, and logic preparation in numerical relays.
  • The job requires reviewing customer specifications, contract documents, identifying gaps, and meeting with customers to resolve issues and ensure drawings and bill of materials are prepared on time.
  • Collaboration and meetings with inter-department stakeholders like project management, tendering, supply chain, planning, procurement, and production will be involved to ensure products are manufactured according to customer specifications, satisfaction, and targets.
  • The role involves working with ECAD software like E-Plan, AutoCad, SeeXP, E3 for preparing drawings for customers.
  • The job may require visits to customers for technical discussions related to projects.

Educational qualifications: Diploma/B.E in Electrical Engineering from a reputable institute.

  • Working experience in medium voltage switchgear panels from 5-12 years is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of medium voltage circuit breakers, protection relays, meters, current/voltage transformers, low voltage components like switches, push buttons, lamps is essential.
  • Digital systems drafting architectures for SCADA with protocols like IEC 61850, ethernet switches, patch chords are required.
  • Solid knowledge of IEC/IS/BS standards of medium voltage switchgears and its correlation with type test parameters is needed.
  • Familiarity with ECAD softwares, SAP, manufacturing bill of material preparation is required.
  • The candidate should demonstrate passion and examples related to cost reductions, new developments, validation, and testing.
  • Digital skills on process improvement, product digitisation (condition monitoring) will be an added advantage.
  • Experience in segments like Industry (MMM), O&G, Building and commercial segments will be preferred.
  • Knowledge on products like GIS, RMU, PSS, Low voltage panels will be an added advantage.
