Job Title: Mendix Platform Specialist

A Mendix platform specialist is responsible for managing the overall health and security of the Mendix platform. This includes user and access management, application deployment and monitoring, and ensuring the platform's smooth operation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • User Management: Inviting new users, managing user roles and permissions, and setting up App Access Groups to ensure appropriate access to applications and data.
  • Application Deployment: Overseeing the deployment of new applications, monitoring their performance, and managing the application lifecycle.
  • Platform Configuration: Configuring settings within the Mendix platform, managing Marketplace content, and ensuring the platform is running smoothly.
  • Troubleshooting and Support: Addressing issues related to the platform and applications, working with users and technical teams to resolve problems.
  • Security Measures: Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the platform and its data, including user authentication and authorization.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Working with various stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the platform effectively supports business needs.
  • Staying Updated: Keeping up-to-date with the latest platform features, security updates, and best practices.
  • Specific Tasks:
    • Managing Users and Groups: Adding, removing, and modifying user accounts and access rights.
    • Managing Apps: Deploying new applications, managing versions, and monitoring performance.
    • Managing Marketplace Content: Adding and configuring components from the Mendix Marketplace.
    • Monitoring Platform Health: Tracking resource usage, performance metrics, and security logs.
    • Configuring Platform Settings: Setting up company-specific configurations, such as security settings and branding.
    • Troubleshooting Issues: Investigating and resolving platform and application-related issues.
    • Documenting Processes: Creating and maintaining documentation for platform usage and administration.
