Job Opportunity: Senior Identity Governance Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to lead the design, development, and deployment of identity governance solutions across the enterprise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring enterprise-wide identity governance and compliance.

  • Job type: Remote, Contract
  • Time zone: 4 PM IST to 12 AM IST

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the design, development, and deployment of identity governance solutions across the enterprise.
  2. Develop and configure connectors, workflows, rules, and policies for user provisioning, de-provisioning, access certification, and access request.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (security, infrastructure, business stakeholders) to define IAM requirements and translate them into identity governance solutions.
  4. Integrate identity governance systems with enterprise applications (Active Directory, LDAP, Databases, SaaS applications, HR systems like Workday/Oracle HCM).
  5. Implement Lifecycle Management (LCM), Access Certification Campaigns, Role-Based Access Controls (RBAC), Segregation of Duties (SoD).
  6. Optimize and troubleshoot identity governance configurations, workflows, and performance issues.
  7. Support production deployments, upgrades, patches, and ongoing maintenance.
  8. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
  9. Ensure IAM processes align with security policies, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field.
  • 5–8+ years of experience in Identity & Access Management (IAM), with 3–5 years hands-on SailPoint IdentityIQ expertise.
  • Strong development experience in Java, BeanShell, XML, and web services (SOAP/REST APIs).
  • Experience in configuring and customizing SailPoint IIQ modules (Provisioning, Compliance Manager, Lifecycle Manager, Identity Warehouse).
  • Knowledge of IAM standards & protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, SCIM).
  • Experience integrating IIQ with enterprise systems (Active Directory, LDAP, Workday, SAP, ServiceNow, Oracle, cloud apps).
  • Strong understanding of RBAC, SoD, and Identity Governance principles.
  • Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux, Windows, Databases (Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL).
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred/Good to Have

  • SailPoint Certified IdentityIQ Engineer / Architect.
  • Experience with SailPoint SaaS offerings (IdentityNow, Identity Security Cloud).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models.
  • Prior consulting or professional services background.
