Senior Interface Engine Developer

Role Overview:

The role requires strong expertise in HL7 standards and practical experience working with leading interface engines such as Rhapsody, Corepoint or Mirth. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting interfaces that enable seamless data exchange between clinical and enterprise systems, ensuring compliance with healthcare data standards and workflows.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop and implement complex healthcare interfaces using Corepoint, Mirth Connect (NextGen Connect) and Rhapsody.
  • Perform rigorous testing of interfaces to ensure data integrity, message routing accuracy and system reliability.
  • Monitor interface performance and provide timely support for production issues.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all interfaces.
Requirements:
  • 3–5 years of experience in healthcare integration/interface development.
  • Strong knowledge of HL7 standards (v2.x, v3, FHIR, CCD).
  • Experience with various communication protocols such as SFTP, MLLP and web services (SOAP/REST).
  • Hands-on expertise in at least one interface engine: Corepoint, Rhapsody or Mirth.
  • Good understanding of healthcare workflows, EHR data exchange and interoperability concepts.
