Job Description

We're looking for a highly skilled Expert AI Systems Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semantic search, vector databases, LLM frameworks, agent-based systems, and document retrieval.

This is a hands-on role with real ownership. You will move fast, experiment, and ship production systems that impact thousands of researchers worldwide.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A deep understanding of machine learning algorithms and their application in search engines.
  • Expertise in Python for backend development with the ability to build scalable APIs and services.
  • Past experience deploying systems at scale, including search engines, retrieval pipelines, or embedding models.
  • The ability to design infrastructure that serves hundreds of concurrent requests.
  • Experience setting up and hosting APIs with public access while balancing speed, cost, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing and implementing advanced search systems using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Developing and optimizing semantic search pipelines, graph-based retrieval, and agentic systems.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into existing products.
