Database Administrator Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to execute database management and maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing large-scale databases, with expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on experience in database administration and maintenance, including backups, restores, user management, and securing the database environment.
  • Configuring master/slave replication with failovers and recovery scenarios.
  • Migrating databases from on-prem to cloud environments.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably AWS.
  • Upgrading, patching, and maintaining databases.
  • Performance tuning of database environments.

Skill Requirements:

  • Proficiency in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and SQL Server.
  • Knowledge of database backup and restore procedures.
  • Understanding of security best practices for databases.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in database administration.
  • Strong understanding of database concepts and technologies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good problem-solving skills.
