Pharmacy Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee dispensing, billing, and stock management in the pharmacy department.
  • Monitor drug availability and maintain optimal levels of essential medicines.
  • Ensure proper storage conditions of medicines as per statutory regulations.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for timely procurement of medicines and consumables.
  • Implement cost control measures without compromising on quality.
  • Monitor slow-moving, near-expiry, and non-moving stocks and take corrective action.
  • Ensure periodic physical verification of stock and reconciliation.
  • Supervise pharmacists and support staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures.
  • Provide training, guidance, and continuous learning to pharmacy staff.
  • Schedule duties and manage manpower requirements effectively.
Requirements:
  • Education: B. Pharm / M. Pharm / Pharm. D
  • Experience: 5–8 years of hospital pharmacy experience, with at least 5 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Licenses: Registered Pharmacist with State Pharmacy Council.
