Western Music Educator Position

This role focuses on creating an environment where students can grow their musical abilities and skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Student Development:

    • Implement fair treatment of students, promoting a positive atmosphere that is inclusive for everyone.
    • Instill discipline in and out of training sessions, ensuring students adhere to rules and regulations.
    • Promote maximum student participation and interest, helping students analyze and improve their musical talents.
    • Monitor student progress constantly, adjusting the pace accordingly to meet individual needs.

  • Special Events:

    • Develop a high-performance program to achieve exceptional results in inter-school competitions.
    • Find, develop, and maximize the potential of school teams, increasing the number of players reaching high levels of state and national performance.
    • Be actively involved in planning, organizing, and coordinating special events, including the Annual Sports Day and public relations events.

  • SPA Functioning:

    • Implement SPA training sessions, training rules, and a system of play and scouting suitable to the sport as per the SPA curriculum.
    • Assume responsibility for equipment and materials issued, ensuring all are returned in good condition.
    • Design and implement high-quality periodized training and competition programs for students.

  • Maintenance of Records:

    • Aware of the process and maintenance of records as per guidelines mentioned in the SPA Manual.
    • Compile and maintain accurate, complete, and correct records, providing relevant information for school systems.
    • Maintain confidentiality of students' records.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Remain present at PTMs, maintaining and keeping individual and team assessment records, sharing them with players and parents.
  • Assemble a brief scouting report for every game, reviewing it with the team before each game.
  • Report injuries of participants to the SPA Coordinator.
  • Submit monthly assessment reports and a summary of monthly activities report to the SPA coordinator.

The educator should follow professional etiquette consistent with school policies while working with students, parents, and colleagues.
