Senior Engineer, Site Reliability - Financial Systems Expert

This role plays a crucial part in ensuring the stability, scalability, and operational excellence of financial platforms.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering highly reliable financial applications and data services, meeting accuracy, compliance, and availability requirements that support business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reliability & Availability: Ensure financial platforms meet defined SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for performance, reliability, and uptime.
  • Automation & Efficiency: Implement automation to reduce manual effort and operational risk.
  • Observability & Monitoring: Establish comprehensive monitoring, alerting, and logging for accounting applications and data pipelines.
  • Incident Response: Lead on-call rotations, perform root cause analysis, and drive improvements to prevent recurrence of production issues.
  • Operational Excellence: Enforce best practices for capacity planning, performance tuning, disaster recovery, and compliance controls in financial systems.
  • Collaboration with Engineering & Finance: Partner with teams to ensure operational needs are met from development through production.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure financial applications and data pipelines meet audit, compliance, and security requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive post-incident reviews, implement lessons learned, and identify opportunities to improve system resilience.

Requirements:

  • Strong background in site reliability engineering, software development, and/or data engineering.
  • Experience with cloud-based technologies, containerization, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of security best practices, including secure coding practices and threat modeling.
