Private Credit Analysis Role

This position is crucial in evaluating and managing private credit investments. The task involves conducting detailed financial analyses, preparing thorough credit reports, and monitoring portfolio companies to make informed investment decisions and ensure performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive financial models for middle market and lower middle market borrowers.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative due diligence on industry trends, management interviews, customer calls, and ESG screens.
  • Create clear, data-driven investment memoranda outlining company background, industry dynamics, capital structure, covenant package, risks & mitigants, and return profile.
  • Track borrower performance versus budget, covenant compliance, liquidity, and leverage metrics on a monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Detect early warning signals and develop action plans in partnership with portfolio managers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. CFA / CPA candidacy preferred.
  • 2-4 years of experience in credit analysis, leveraged finance, investment banking, or corporate banking (private credit or direct lending strongly preferred).
  • Advanced Excel & financial modelling skills (3 statement, DCF, LBO, capital structure modelling).
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, Pitchbook, or similar data platforms.
