Accounting Operations Leader Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned leader to oversee the accounting operations of global entities. The ideal candidate will have expertise in US GAAP and technical accounting.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize and finalize financial statements, involving multiple subsidiaries and multicurrency consolidation as per US GAAP and public accounting best practices.
  • Coordinate month-end closure activities and ensure accuracy with regards to balance sheet schedules.
  • Head the technical accounting function, drafting of memos and implementing new standards.
  • Support integrated audit processes, including planning, interim testing activities, quarter-end tasks, audit requests, and efficiency improvements.
  • Lead annual audits with external firms, ensuring timely submission of accounts and ledgers, proactive issue resolution, and clean finalization.
  • Maintain information flow from various departments to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial systems for efficient functioning and distribution of financial data.
  • Assist with external reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Enhance financial reporting processes within the organization.

Key Requirements:

  • Certified Accountant (CA) or equivalent with 6-8 years of experience, preferably in a software industry.
  • Current team leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
  • Background in public companies or big four audit firms.
  • NetSuite experience is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Proficient knowledge of US GAAP; software revenue accounting experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
