A key role for an experienced Bioprocess Scientist.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Bioprocess Scientist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing non-infringing upstream processes for biosimilar development using CHO and other mammalian cell lines.

This includes conducting cell line development and characterization, as well as bioreactor process-based biotherapeutic proteins development.

You will also be required to understand developmental requirements for India, ROW, and regulated markets (Phase-I & III) and fulfill them during development.

  • Developing non-infringing upstream processes for biosimilar development using CHO and other mammalian cell lines.
  • Conducting cell line development and characterization, as well as bioreactor process-based biotherapeutic proteins development.
  • Understanding developmental requirements for India, ROW, and regulated markets (Phase-I & III) and fulfilling them during development.
  • Planning and executing experiments for process development, upstream activities at shake flask and bioreactor stages for recombinant molecules.
  • Formulating and preparing media and feeds, verifying component roles, and utilizing spent media analysis for overall process improvement.
  • Designing and conducting process characterization for upstream development.
  • Responsibility for process scale-up and scale-down operations at various bioreactor scales.
  • Analyzing scientific research data using statistical software to identify trends and patterns.
  • Leading a team of scientists and senior scientists for day-to-day cell culture work and coordinating with cell culture and analytical groups.
Requirements
  • A strong understanding of latest developments in upstream-related instruments, cell culture, and bioreactor processes is required.
  • The candidate should be an excellent team player, able to connect with inter- and intra-departmental teammates.
  • Good documentation practices and data traceability are essential.
  • A scientific acumen and good leadership skills are necessary.
  • Clear and convincing oral and written communication in English is desired.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, statistical software, and analytical tools is required.
  • PhD/post-doc experience in bioprocess cell culture is preferred.
