IBM MQ Architect and Administrator

As a senior IBM MQ administrator, you will be responsible for the deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, automation, and maintenance of critical distributed infrastructure. This position requires strong technical skills and leadership abilities to lead complex initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies for the deployment, upgrade, and management of MQ environments.
  • Collaborate with development organizations to determine best practices, tuning, problem resolution, and root cause analysis in the MQ and Middleware space.
  • Provide technical consulting on the use and integration of MQ system utilities, tools, and applications.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 8+ years administering and architecting IBM MQ environments, including deployment, upgrades, configurations, setup, performance tuning.
  • Strong MQ troubleshooting skills are essential, with the ability to drive to root cause.
  • Experience with IBM MQ appliances and Kafka streaming is highly desirable.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
  • Certifications AWS, Azure, or GCP are beneficial.
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes would be advantageous.
