Lead Data Architect

We seek a seasoned data architect to spearhead our enterprise data architecture strategy. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable data systems that support business intelligence and analytics needs.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in data engineering and architecture, with experience working with cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and CI/CD tools. They should also be proficient in SQL and one other programming language, such as Python, Java, or C#.

The role involves collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and participating in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and DevOps practices for continuous integration and deployment.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about data architecture and has a strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Data System Design & Development: Design and implement robust, scalable data systems that support business intelligence and analytics needs.
  • Cloud Platform Engineering: Operationalize data solutions on cloud platforms, integrating services like AWS, Azure, and third-party technologies.
  • Data Governance & Security: Ensure data integrity, privacy, and compliance through governance practices and secure schema design.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering, designing, developing, and deploying scalable enterprise data analytics solutions from source system through ingestion and reporting.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • 5+ years of experience in data modeling and architecture using dimensional modeling, star schemas, and data warehousing techniques.
  • Experience in designing, developing & scaling complex data pipelines feeding analytics models and evaluating their performance.
  • Proficiency in SQL and any one other programming language (e.g., Python, Java, C#, etc.).
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with security best practices in DevOps and data management.
  • Agile/Scrum operating experience using Azure DevOps or equivalent.
