Job Opportunity:

DCS System Specialist Position:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive Distributed Control System (DCS) project services, encompassing requirement analysis, design, engineering, factory acceptance testing/shop assembly testing, and commissioning.
  • Carry out onsite loop checking, system configuration, and troubleshooting to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Perform rigorous manual testing of DCS modules, I/O cards, and human-machine interface logic to guarantee system integrity.
  • Validate communication protocols including Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, OPC, HART, and TCP/IP for reliable data exchange.
  • Prepare and review wiring diagrams, IO lists, terminal layouts, and coordinate with shop floor personnel for efficient execution.
  • Develop and execute FAT/SAT documents; engage directly with customers during validation to ensure mutual understanding.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams comprising commissioning, quality assurance, and controls engineering for cohesive project delivery.
  • Utilize test management tools (JIRA, HP ALM, TestLink) for documentation and defect tracking to maintain transparency and accountability.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4+ years of hands-on experience on major DCS platforms (ABB, Yokogawa, Honeywell, Siemens, Schneider, etc.).
  • Proven track record in DCS project execution: FAT, SAT, loop testing, field commissioning.
  • Strong expertise in manual testing methodologies for accurate results.
  • Thorough knowledge of industrial protocols and interface standards.
  • Experience in wiring diagram preparation, cable routing, panel layouts, BOM preparation.
  • Hands-on proficiency with test documentation, reports, and root-cause analysis.
  • Excellent teamwork, communication, and coordination skills for successful shop floor execution.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Ability to join immediately or with short notice.
  • Previous exposure to electrical panel testing or E&I commissioning.
  • OEM or EPC background preferred.
  • Familiarity with basic scripting languages (Python, Shell) is a plus.
