Linux System Administration Role

We are seeking an experienced Linux system administrator to join our team. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for delivering 3rd level technical support in compliance with customer service level agreements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver daily compute operations following ITIL best practices
  • Perform server installation, maintenance, monitoring, decommissioning and special configurations beyond automated tasks
  • Conduct storage operations based on NetApp NFS
  • Manage package/repository management and OS image maintenance
  • Implement patch management using Blade Logic Automation
  • Configure and roll out server-related monitoring/alert systems
  • Perform performance tests and analysis
  • Conduct root cause analysis for customer incidents
  • Document services/tasks, testing, quality management and assist 2nd level technical support in complex tasks
Requirements:
  • 4-8 years of experience in server management administration
  • Proficient in Linux OS operations, hypervisor operations (XEN and VMware), LVM, DNS, LDAP and IPTables
  • Good troubleshooting skills in server down situations
  • Knowledge in physical server management
  • Associate level knowledge in at least one public cloud landscape (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Basic knowledge in automation tools and scripting (e.g. chef, bash, Perl)
  • Experience in using Git Hub and Jira is beneficial
  • Knowledge/experience in Prometheus on Docker setup and/or ELK stack is beneficial
  • Familiarity with central infrastructure services is recommended (Security Groups/RPM/Rsync/Mail/Active Directory/Chef automation/Nagios/repository management/Monitoring)
