Key Responsibilities and Challenges for a Manager Role

The role of the Manager in a retail business services organization is to oversee the creation and enhancement of a retail catalog. This involves working with sellers to ensure a reliable flow of products, interacting directly with internal customers across the globe, and collaborating with the Category team to maintain process health.


  • Responsible for operations teams supporting multiple categories that populate and procure content for the Amazon catalog.
  • Works with sellers to ensure a seamless and operationally effective flow of products.
  • Interacts directly with Amazon internal customers worldwide to deliver their requirements.
  • Collaborates with the Category team to ensure overall process health.

Key responsibilities include taking part in planning, organizing, and directing subordinate work, outlining procedures and instructions, making time estimates on new jobs, checking accuracy and quality, ensuring records are maintained accurately, and mentoring and training new team members.


Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in team management.
  • At least 2 years of program or project management experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience leading process improvements.
  • Experience working with technology teams and solving operational issues using technology.
  • Knowledge of databases, including querying and analyzing, such as SQL, MySQL, and ETL Manager, and working with large data sets.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma concepts.
  • Experience managing critical operational processes with SLA responsibility.
