Job Title: Airport Infrastructure Development Specialist

The Airport Infrastructure Development Specialist designs airport infrastructure, including runways, taxiways, aprons, and roads. The primary focus is on geometric design, grading, earthworks, signing & marking, simulation, and Building Information Modelling (BIM) integration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed designs for airfield and landside infrastructure
  • Prepare grading plans and cut-and-fill calculations for airside and landside areas
  • Create design drawings and Bills of Quantities extracted from BIM models
  • Design airfield and landside signing & marking layouts in accordance with international standards
  • Support stand and gate design optimisation, ensuring safe aircraft operations and adequate integration of fueling pits, ground power, pre-conditioned air (PCA), and GSE routes

Simulation & Modeling:

  • Utilise AviPLAN for aircraft movement simulation and apron/stand clearance checks
  • Conduct GSE simulations to optimise apron operations and gate service layouts
  • Apply BIM tools for 3D coordination, clash detection, and multi-discipline integration

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in airport or transportation infrastructure development
  • Strong background in multidisciplinary coordination with drainage, utilities, and fueling systems

Skills & Competencies:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, AviPLAN, BIM (Navisworks), AutoTURN
  • Strong knowledge of international aviation and road design standards
  • Ability to apply codes and standards directly in design solutions
