Job Overview

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Data Governance Lead to manage the development and execution of data governance initiatives.

This role will ensure that data is managed as a strategic asset, supporting compliance, data quality, and ethical data use across the organization.

The ideal candidate for this role has a blend of Data Governance, Data Privacy, and Compliance experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the development of an enterprise-wide data governance framework, including data ownership, stewardship, quality, and accountability frameworks.
  • Define and enforce data ownership & stewardship, establishing clear roles and responsibilities for data owners and stewards.
  • Drive data quality & integrity initiatives, developing and implementing data quality standards, validation rules, and monitoring processes.
  • Contribute to data classification & protection efforts, directing the classification of data assets based on sensitivity, regulatory impact, and business value.
  • Develop and maintain governance policies & compliance frameworks, authoring and maintaining data governance policies, standards, and procedures aligned with privacy regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of related experience.
  • Proficient in executing against well-defined procedures and processes.
  • Ability to create high-quality deliverables with minimal oversight.
  • Foundational technical expertise, including business acumen and strategic thinking.
  • Working understanding of the financial services industry, products, and services.
