Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance data pipelines using Snowflake and dbt.

  • This role involves leading architectural best practices and driving data transformation at scale.
  • Work closely with clients to translate business needs into robust data solutions.
  • Mentor junior engineers, enforce standards, and deliver production-grade data platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Architect and implement modular, test-driven ELT pipelines using dbt on Snowflake.
  2. Design layered data models aligned with dbt best practices.
  3. Lead ingestion of structured and semi-structured data from APIs, cloud storage, and databases into Snowflake.
  4. Optimize Snowflake for performance and cost: warehouse sizing, clustering, materializations, query profiling, and credit monitoring.
  5. Apply advanced dbt capabilities including macros, packages, custom tests, sources, exposures, and documentation.
  6. Orchestrate workflows using dbt Cloud, Airflow, or Azure Data Factory, integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
  7. Define and enforce data governance and compliance practices using Snowflake RBAC, secure data sharing, and encryption strategies.
  8. Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver validated, business-ready data assets.
  9. Mentor junior engineers, lead architectural/code reviews, and help establish reusable frameworks and standards.
  10. Engage with clients to gather requirements, present solutions, and manage end-to-end project delivery in a consulting setup.

  • You have extensive experience with data engineering, Snowflake, and dbt.
  • You possess excellent leadership skills and can mentor junior engineers effectively.
  • You are able to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
