Senior Financial Accountant Job Summary

This role plays a vital part in the financial governance of our organization. The Senior Financial Accountant is responsible for managing and coordinating financial activities to ensure timely and accurate payments, reconciliations, and reporting.

  • Fundamental Responsibilities:
  • Coordinating vendor communications, ensuring prompt payment and reconciliation processes.
  • Managing the supplier reconciliation portal to optimize efficiency.
  • Collaborating with clients to obtain necessary vendor information and approvals.
  • Preparing weekly Accounts Payable reports, processing payments, and allocating them accurately.
  • Reviewing vendor reconciliations performed by the Accounting team.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax laws by preparing 1099 forms and handling tax return reconciliations.
  • Reviewing sales entries on a regular basis.
  • Preparing and submitting sales tax returns and use tax calculations.
  • Preparing state and local tax returns, including CRT and TPT filings.
  • Performing balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responding promptly to emails and delivering AP reports to clients on time.
  • Meeting internal deadlines for month-end closing procedures.
  • Providing training and support to new team members.
  • Maintaining adherence to internal processes and systems.
  • Staying updated on new processes and taking on additional responsibilities as assigned.
  • Attending relevant training sessions for personal and professional growth.
