Welcome to a leading company in the industry, we are seeking a skilled Cloudflare WAF Security Specialist. With 5+ years of experience, you will be responsible for managing Cloudflare WAF rules, page shields, and threat intelligence filters. Your expertise will help us reduce false positives and protect against OWASP Top 10 threats.

You will monitor web traffic anomalies, bot activity, and take preventive actions to ensure our systems remain secure. Integration with central SIEM/SOC for real-time visibility is also a key responsibility.

Collaboration with application teams is crucial to validate WAF configurations before production rollout. Troubleshooting WAF blocks, performance issues, and content caching anomalies is also a critical task.

Maintaining access control, rate limiting, and geo-restriction rules is essential to our security posture. You will generate reports for application owners and participate in threat modeling exercises to stay ahead of potential threats.

Assisting Level 3 in rule set upgrades, custom signatures, and API security enhancements is also a key responsibility. Participating in DR drills and ensuring WAF availability in failover scenarios is critical to our business continuity.

  • Key Skills & Certifications:
  • Hands-on 5 to 7 years' experience with Cloudflare WAF or equivalent (e.g., Akamai, AWS WAF).
  • Understanding of web protocols, application headers, and TLS.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and app security standards.

Certifications:

  • Cloudflare Certified WAF Practitioner (if available)
  • CEH or GIAC Web Application Defender (GWEB)
  • OWASP Top 10 – mastery preferred

Job Requirements:

  • Must have hands-on experience with Cloudflare WAF or equivalent technologies.
  • Must have strong understanding of web protocols, application headers, and TLS.
  • Must have familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and app security standards.
