About the Role:

As an Academic Mentor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of students. You will serve as a mentor, motivator, and guide, tracking academic progress, maintaining strong relationships with students and parents, and helping create a supportive learning environment.

  • Establish and maintain positive, trusting relationships with students, offering guidance and support to help them excel academically and personally.
  • Organize and lead student activities, clubs, and programs that encourage both academic and personal growth.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and counselors to address student concerns, resolve conflicts, and provide necessary interventions.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Engagement & Mentorship

  1. Develop and implement strategies to engage students in academic and extracurricular activities.
  2. Provide individualized support and mentorship to students, helping them set and achieve goals.
  3. Build partnerships with teachers and other educators to ensure aligned support and resources for students.

Academic Performance & Support

  1. Monitor student academic progress, identifying challenges and providing targeted interventions to improve learning outcomes.
  2. Conduct regular assessments and evaluations to track student understanding of the curriculum.
  3. Work closely with teachers and counselors to develop customized academic plans for students requiring additional support.

Parent Communication & Collaboration

  1. Maintain open and regular communication with parents/guardians to keep them updated on their child's academic and personal development.
  2. Organize and participate in parent meetings and conferences to discuss student progress, challenges, and goals.
  3. Address parental concerns, provide guidance, and suggest ways they can support their child's education at home.
