Instructional Designer

We are seeking a skilled Instructional Designer to join our team. This role involves creating engaging eLearning content for various clients, focusing on animated videos, game development, and simulation design.

The ideal candidate will have experience in instructional design, online learning, video-based learning, mobile learning, and MS Office skills, especially MS PowerPoint. A professional certification in instructional design or video editing is a plus.

The successful candidate will be able to work in an agile methodology, grasp technical concepts, and simplify them visually. Strong visualization and visual design skills are essential, along with strong written and verbal English communication skills.

This is a full-time, work-from-home contract based in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years' work experience in a fast-paced environment in a similar role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Storyboarding - Translate raw video footage into accessible and engaging series of videos that enhance student learning
  • Translate narrative scripts into comprehensive storyboards that hold students' attention
Visualization:
  • Use visual medium to convey ideas and enhance learning by creating visual representations of concepts, ensuring visual consistency and harmony in the videos
  • Check the quality of videos received from video editors
Co-ordination with the Production Team:
  • Interact with teammates and extended teams (video editing partners) to create high-quality products
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing
Learning Management System:
  • Manage content and develop assets on the Learning Management System
  • Develop summary decks based on video content
  • Review and edit closed caption text for all videos
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • 2-3 years of experience in instructional designing in higher education or corporate education
  • Specialized knowledge in instructional design, online learning, video-based learning, mobile learning, and MS Office skills
