We are seeking a skilled Compliance Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in ensuring the effective coordination, maintenance, and documentation of compliance activities across our institution. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in administrative or compliance support roles to make a real impact.
The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and record-keeping, as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment and communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner.
The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of data protection principles under UK GDPR and be familiar with using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams). Previous experience in a higher education institution or public sector would be advantageous.
As a Compliance Coordinator, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of data processing activities, data breaches, and subject rights requests. You will also be required to monitor deadlines and ensure timely submission of statutory returns or compliance actions.
In addition, you will assist the Head of Compliance in drafting, formatting, and publishing internal policies and procedures, and provide administrative support for scheduling and tracking training, webinars, and briefings.
You will also be involved in cross-departmental liaison, working with departments such as IT, Registry, HR, Academic Governance, and Marketing to gather compliance inputs and coordinate with the IT team to support the Head of Compliance in tracking cybersecurity compliance measures.

Key Responsibilities:

- Track cybersecurity compliance measures and escalate privacy concerns to the Compliance Head as appropriate
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in an administrative or compliance support role (3–5 years)
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and record-keeping
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with data protection principles under UK GDPR
- Competent in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
- Understanding of cybersecurity risks and controls, including breach notification procedures and secure data handling
