Responsibilities:
  • Pharmacy Operations Management: You will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, including prescription dispensing, medication inventory management, compounding, and medication therapy management services.
  • Staff Supervision and Training: You will supervise pharmacy staff, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support personnel, providing training and guidance, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Medication Safety and Quality Assurance: You will implement policies and procedures to ensure medication safety and minimize the risk of medication errors, adverse drug reactions, and drug interactions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: You will ensure that pharmacy operations comply with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards and professional guidelines.
  • Pharmaceutical Procurement and Inventory Control: You will be responsible for managing medication procurement, inventory control, and distribution processes, maintaining appropriate stock levels and monitoring medication expiration dates.
  • Patient Counseling and Education: You will provide medication counseling and education to patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers, explaining medication instructions, potential side effects, drug interactions, and proper medication administration techniques.
