Job Opportunity: Database Developer

Our organization seeks a skilled and experienced Database Developer to take on key responsibilities in application maintenance and support. This role involves providing essential database solutions, utilizing expertise in procedural SQL and Transact-SQL.

Key qualifications include:

  • Strong knowledge of database programming using stored procedures/procedural SQL.
  • Proficiency in Transact-SQL (Sybase ASE, MS SQL Server).
  • Experience with query optimization, debugging, and performance tuning to enhance efficiency.
  • Familiarity with source control (Git), scripting (PowerShell), and Java integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain stored procedures to fix issues and deliver new functionality.
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging of stored procedures, ensuring code quality and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to migrate business logic from stored procedures to Java, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal business impact.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex database-related problems in production and non-production environments.

Ideal candidate will have hands-on experience as a Database Developer with exposure to large, complex systems, preferably with 3+ years of experience. We are seeking a collaborative team player who can analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex database-related problems in production and non-production environments.
