Software Architectural Development Specialist

 

  • Conceive and develop high-quality software systems using Visual Studio.
  • Design software that promotes efficiency, testability, and maintainability using strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Collaborate within an agile development environment to build software that meets the gathered requirements.
  • Author user stories and tasks from supplied requirements, and effectively communicate with the scrum team.
  • Use continuous integration to automate builds, testing, and revision control.

 

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design UI Designs that create an exciting user experience.
  • Create API Design Specifications.
  • Apply domain-driven design principles in software architectural development.
  • Develop databases and possess experience with at least one Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Software (Jenkins, Bamboo, Cruise Control, Electric Commander, etc.).
  • Utilize Test Driven Development.
  • Work with Service Oriented Architecture.
  • Have knowledge of industrial network and serial communication protocols (OPC UA, Modbus, etc.).
  • Understand Industrial Controls, particularly PLCs.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Understanding of Ethernet networking protocols and networking infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in defect tracking tools like Rally or JIRA.

 

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or Engineering from an accredited university or college AND 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Ability to program using C++, C#, Python, and/or Java.
  • Experience with InstallShield.
  • Expertise in large code bases.
  • Excellent debugging and refactoring skills.
  • Proficiency in Version Control Systems like Git, GitHub, SVN, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and vSphere/Virtual Machines.
  • Experience with Test Automation Frameworks like NUnit, VSTest, TestNG or PyTest.
  • Knowledge of .NET and WPF.
