Are you an experienced design engineer with a passion for creating high-quality pressure control equipment? Do you have a deep understanding of API 6A standards and the design of surface pressure control equipment?

We are seeking a skilled Senior Design Engineer to lead the design and development of pressure control equipment per API 6A standards. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for creating detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using Inventor, Vault or similar CAD tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ">
  • Lead the design and development of pressure control equipment per API 6A standards (valves, wellhead components, tree assemblies, etc.).">
  • Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and BOMs using Inventor, Vault or similar CAD tools.">
  • Conduct FEA and other mechanical calculations to validate designs ensuring compliance with API 6A, ASME, and customer-specific requirements.">
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams providing engineering support for prototype testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.">
  • Participate in and/or lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and engineering change processes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the development of internal engineering standards and best practices.">
  • Assist in preparing technical documentation including material specifications, test procedures, and certification packages.">

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least 7 years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the oil & gas industry, extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with API 6A product design and certification processes, proficiency in INVENTOR, VAULT, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools, familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards, and strong understanding of manufacturing processes and problem-solving skills.
