Senior Embedded Engineer

Job Title: Senior Embedded Engineer

Job Overview:

We're seeking an experienced and skilled Embedded Systems Developer to join our team. This is a hands-on role that combines hardware design and firmware development for next-generation embedded systems across various domains.

Experience Level: 5 - 10 years

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Prototype: Develop innovative embedded hardware systems, including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection (e.g., microcontrollers, sensors, communication modules).
  • Board Support Packages and Board Bring-up: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware and firmware components.
  • Efficient Coding: Write efficient, reusable code in Embedded C/C++ for microcontrollers (e.g., ARM Cortex-M, STM32, PIC) and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Peripheral Drivers and System Optimization: Develop drivers for peripherals (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN) and optimize system performance (memory, power, latency).
  • Debugging and Troubleshooting: Debug firmware-hardware interactions and resolve issues at the register/assembly level.
  • System Architecture Design: Participate in system architecture design, including hardware-software trade-offs and safety-critical compliance.
  • Automated Testing: Implement automated testing frameworks and conduct hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Embedded C/C++ and Assembly: Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and assembly for low-level hardware interaction.
  • Microcontroller Architectures: Good knowledge of microcontroller architectures.
  • Communication Protocols: Mastery of UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, and wireless standards (BLE, Zigbee).
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong problem-solving abilities for troubleshooting hardware-software issues.
  • Education: Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
