Job Description

We are seeking candidates for the role of Medical Coder, ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in medical terminology and anatomy. This position involves coding medical diagnoses and procedures with accuracy and compliance to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities
  1. Review and analyze medical records to extract relevant information for coding purposes.
  2. Assign appropriate codes to diagnoses and procedures using standardized coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
  3. Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulations.
  4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and coding queries.
  5. Maintain confidentiality of patient information as per HIPAA regulations.
  6. Stay updated on coding updates and changes in regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and anatomy.
  • Proficient in ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in coding.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Certification in Medical Coding (such as CPC, CCS, or CCA) is a plus but not mandatory.
