Tech Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced IT support specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, excellent communication and coordination skills, and hands-on experience with Linux/macOS systems.
Job Overview:
This role involves blending infrastructure management with IT execution. The successful candidate will be proactive, enjoy working behind the scenes, and possess strong technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Systems Monitoring & Support: Monitor uptime, system health, and performance across development and production environments.
- Troubleshoot issues (local and remote): Troubleshoot issues across OS, software, network, and cloud systems.
- Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with DevOps teams: Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with DevOps teams to resolve recurring issues.
- Infrastructure, Security & Automation: Configure machines, access controls, and user permissions for new and existing team members.
- Support secure practices: Support secure practices such as system hardening, OS patching, and routine compliance audits.
- Assist in CI/CD workflows and contribute to infrastructure improvements and documentation: Assist in CI/CD workflows and contribute to infrastructure improvements and documentation.
- Hardware, Tools & Vendor Management: Coordinate hardware procurement, work with vendors for equipment purchases, service warranties, and support escalations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve remote hardware/software issues during onboarding and day-to-day ops: Troubleshoot and resolve remote hardware/software issues during onboarding and day-to-day ops.
- Team Enablement & Documentation: Act as a first point of contact for internal TechOps requests, maintain internal documentation, runbooks, and asset registers.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Engineering: Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Finance, and Engineering to ensure smooth operational workflows.
Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience in TechOps, IT Support, Infrastructure, or DevOps assistance.
- Hands-on experience with Linux/macOS systems, basic networking, and cloud services (AWS/GCP).
- Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools and remote access tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, etc.).
- Exposure to CI/CD tools, Git, basic scripting, or task automation.
- Strong coordination, follow-up, and communication skills — especially with remote teams and external vendors.
- Ability to juggle multiple requests and still maintain system hygiene and documentation.
- Bonus: Interest in using AI tools like GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT to streamline workflows.
- Bonus: Familiarity with procurement tools, inventory tracking, or asset management platforms.
