Main Responsibilities
  • Taking patient histories, including systemic and ocular information, to understand their medical conditions and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Conducting thorough vision tests to diagnose and manage various eye conditions, and prescribing glasses under the guidance of a consultant optometrist or ophthalmologist.
  • Performing advanced ophthalmic investigations, such as OCT scans, FFA, fundus photography, and LASER treatments, to aid in accurate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Assisting in LASIK surgery operations and premium IOL/LASIK workups, and working closely with other medical professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Training and mentoring optometry students, counseling patients on eye health and treatment options, conducting follow-up consultations, and participating in community outreach programs.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in our Health Management Information System (HMIS), and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Optometry (B.Sc) or Diploma in Optometry from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in the field of optometry, preferably in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A passion for delivering high-quality patient care and making a positive impact in the community.
