Job Description:

The Residential Real Estate Compliance Specialist will be responsible for leading audits and ensuring compliance with US GAAP, HUD guidelines, and IRS Section 42 requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of affordable housing regulations and the ability to drive client engagements forward.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Leading audits for Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) and HUD-funded projects
  • Reviewing and preparing financial statements, audit workpapers, and compliance reports
  • Driving client engagements and ensuring timely delivery of audit deliverables
Qualifications and Skills:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A CPA or CA certification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting, with a focus on affordable housing or LIHTC engagements
  • In-depth knowledge of affordable housing regulations, HUD audit protocols, and LIHTC program sensitivities
  • Experience with audit platforms such as CaseWare, CCH, and data analytics tools
