Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Laboratory Technician to support teaching, research, and practical training in various departments. The successful candidate will manage laboratory operations, assist faculty and students during experiments, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities include preparing equipment, handling chemicals and biological samples, calibrating instruments, and maintaining accurate records of inventory and experiments.

Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree/Diploma in a relevant discipline, prior experience in laboratory work or technical assistance, and strong organizational and communication skills.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Life Sciences, Forensic Science, Agriculture, or Computer Applications from a recognized institution
  • Prior experience in laboratory work, technical assistance, or research support
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety procedures, equipment handling, and maintenance
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with relevant software (especially for Computer Applications labs)
Preferred Skills:
  • Life Sciences: Familiarity with microbiological, environmental, or zoological lab techniques
  • Forensic Science: Knowledge of forensic sample handling, analytical instruments, and evidence management
  • Agriculture: Exposure to soil testing, crop/plant analysis, and agricultural lab tools
  • Computer Applications: Experience with software installations, programming tools, and troubleshooting in computer labs
