Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 10 operating systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, deploy, and maintain Windows 10 operating systems on desktops, laptops, and other end-user devices.
  • Provide first and second-level technical support to end-users for all Windows 10 related issues, including OS crashes, software errors, hardware malfunctions, and peripheral connectivity problems.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex issues within the Windows 10 environment.
  • Deploy, configure, and update software applications on Windows 10 workstations.
  • Manage application compatibility and resolve conflicts.
  • Administer user accounts, profiles, permissions, and security settings within a Windows domain environment.
  • Manage device enrollment and configuration.
  • Ensure Windows 10 devices adhere to organizational security policies, patching schedules, and compliance standards.
  • Assist with vulnerability management and endpoint protection.
  • Provide basic hardware support, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting of desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues impacting Windows 10 devices.

Requirements:

  • Windows 10 Expertise: Strong hands-on experience in administering, configuring, and troubleshooting Windows 10 operating systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft 365) and common business productivity applications.
  • Networking Fundamentals: Basic understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • System Administration Concepts: Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and user/device management in an enterprise environment.
  • Troubleshooting: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach to diagnosing and resolving technical issues.
  • Customer Service: Strong customer service orientation with excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to interact effectively with users of varying technical proficiencies.
  • Certifications: Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate) or CompTIA A+ certification are advantageous.
